Intro

Transmission agency were looking for a production company to work with them to produce fast turnaround, cost effective content.

Challenge

Transmission agency were creating a new website for Maersk Energy and needed video content of their oil rig to be filmed and edited together.  The rig was in the middle of the North Sea and it was also the middle of December.  We had 6 hours to film 6 x interviews & 5 x films about different areas of the rig. Whilst also battling the weather and Health & Safety.

Solution

We sent a small team of seven crew members to Esbjerg. This included 3 cameras & a drone to film the rig from the shore line.  We had one roaming camera, 2 timelapse, 1 set up for interviews and 1 doing a guided tour.  We had 1 day to film a large amount.  Although we had a drone and cameras we also built a 4D image of the rig so we could manipulate it to cover off what the rushes didn’t.
