Regus Print Campaign

As part of our growing print department, we have been working with Fold7 on their recent Regus campaigns.

Initially, we thought this job would just be a straightforward repro and retouching. But, it turned out to involve more than anticipated.

Our normal process is once we have received the digital image, it first needs to be profiled to match the correct specification. This ensures it is safe to be transferred onto either magazine or newspaper paper without losing colours. The aim is to have the image looking exactly the same on paper as it does on a screen. This is where it can become a challenge.

As this image involves a mix of bright neon pink on a black background, it’s likely that the colours would be lost or changed once on grey newspaper paper. To prevent this, multiple rounds of test prints and retouches were done to brighten the neon pink and make sure it doesn’t get washed out against the grey paper and black background.

Eventually, once the desired colour is achieved, the image is sent off to publications to be printed.

More often than not, print work is a tricky process. It’s never just dropping an image onto a page and printing it off.
